Outcomes 

  • Sales Conversion & Targets – Convert inbound and outbound leads into rentals, achieving or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets while maintaining 90%+ occupancy portfolio-wide. 

  • Revenue Optimization – Achieve at least 80% enrollment in Protection Plans and Auto-Pay through effective sales pitches, education, and follow-up strategies. 

  • Customer Experience – Deliver a professional, solution-oriented experience across all virtual communication channels while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and a 4.5+ Google Review rating. 

  • Lead & Customer Lifecycle Management – Manage the customer journey from initial inquiry through move-in, conducting timely follow-up via phone, email, and text, achieving at least 78% conversion from qualified follow-up leads into rentals.

USA Water Polo is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join its Athlete Safety & Compliance team in a part-time, fully remote capacity. The Athlete Safety & Compliance Coordinator will support a variety of day-to-day compliance operations, including member and club compliance, sanctioned events, National Team compliance checks, athlete safety documentation, case tracking, and administrative follow-up. This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information. This opportunity is particularly well suited for graduate students looking to gain meaningful professional experience while balancing academic coursework.

Possible Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day athlete safety and compliance operations under the direction of USA Water Polo Compliance leadership.
  • Monitor and track SafeSport training, background screening, USA Water Polo membership status, and BASS Athlete Safety requirements.
  • Assist with sanctioned-event compliance outreach, including MAAPP communications, volunteer requirements, participant eligibility guidance, and event signage.
  • Review Sport:80 rosters and member profiles for outstanding compliance requirements and assist with follow-up prior to participation.
  • Support National Team compliance checks prior to camps, travel, competitions, and other National Team activities.
  • Maintain organized compliance records, incident and case tracking, supporting documentation, and follow-up notes.
  • Assist with the administrative intake and routing of athlete safety reports, SafeSport matters, and USA Water Polo grievances under the supervision of Compliance leadership.
  • Support policy and SOP updates, audit documentation, annual reporting preparation, committee forms, and other compliance projects as assigned. 
  • Coordinate with Membership, Events, National Team Operations, clubs, and other stakeholders regarding routine compliance questions and follow-up.
