Customer Support Representative

Remote, US (Pacific Hours, any time zone accepted)

As a Call Center Representative, you must have the ability to handle a high volume of customer calls (inbound and outbound) with the primary focus of scheduling appointments against insurance claims. The position requires excellent communication and telephone etiquette. People who excel in this role balance customer service with persuasive communication techniques to capture appointments.

  • Review the customer’s assignment and effectively schedule an appointment with the designated collision repair facility.

  • Answer inbound calls and assist or provide additional assistance accordingly.

  • Provide information on what to expect during the repair experience.

  • Follow company guidelines and insurance carrier requirements.

  • Provide superior customer service via phones and emails.

  • Use effective questioning and listening skills.

  • Maintain a professional attitude when handling calls.

  • Document conversations accurately; strong typing and computer skills required.

  • Follow operating procedures and adapt quickly to new processes.

  • Participate in educational opportunities to grow product and service knowledge.

What you’ll Bring:

  • Previous customer service experience (call center, retail, food service, etc.).

  • Availability for any shift across call center hours: M-Th 7am-7pm PT, F 7am-5pm PT, Sat 9am-1pm PT.

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Strong typing and computer skills.

The Bone Growth Therapies Patient Care Coordinator (remote) will assist direct Orthofix Territory Managers, ASMs, RVPs, as well as Orthofix Distributors with patient education and device in-services.

 

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

·         Support Territory Managers, accounts and patients within your region.

·         Assist with educational meetings with patients and office staff regarding the benefits of the Orthofix stimulation products.

·         Discuss explanation of benefits and financial responsibilities with patients.

·         Facilitate paperwork collections for order submissions.

·         Coordinate all patient service and patient experience activities in conjunction with TM, ASM and RVP.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Contributes to the HR central team, displaying a strong ability to problem solve and quickly complete a variety of associate lifecycle data management transactions.

Responsibilities

The denials recovery representative is an experienced position within the Mayo Clinic enterprise denials management team. This position is responsible for investigating and resolving denied payments from third party payers in an effort to prevent lost reimbursement. The position will require experience in successfully appealing denials, including root cause analysis and coordination with payers to enable proper claim adjudication. The ability to effectively communicate with third party payer representatives and knowledge of appeal guidelines will be vital to the role. This position will be responsible for working denials of higher complexity, and will require knowledge of payer appeal requirements. This role will require adherence to quality assurance metrics, as well productivity standards that will enable denial key performance indicators to be met.



Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in medical billing (hospital and/or professional) Required.

OR 

Bachelor’s Degree Required. 

 Associates degree or higher preferred. Four years of relevant experience preferred. 

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Certification Preferred.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer/keyboarding skills, intermediate mathematic competency. Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and phone handling skills. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance; may be required to work weekend, holiday or OT hours.
Knowledge of and experience with Epic, general knowledge of medical billing and collections processes, general knowledge of healthcare terminology and knowledge of contracted payers preferred.
