The Licensing and Contracting Representative will be responsible for assisting agents in the field by processing carrier applications, answering commissions questions, and providing back-office support to help streamline the agent’s daily operations so they can maximize sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls as needed 

  • Respond to agent emails via a Ticket System 

  • Provide agents with back-office support 

  • Assist agents with commissions questions, leads support, product information, and more 

  • Promote and support Allstate Health product sales 

  • Maintain positive working relationships with assigned accounts 

  • Meet or exceed call quality metrics 

  • Provide world class support on every call 

  • Additional projects as available and assigned 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Insurance industry knowledge, specifically Life & Health is required 

  • Background in account management   

  • Exceptional phone etiquette 

  • Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with little oversight 

  • Ability to work remotely, with a team of others who are also working remotely  

  • Sit and work at a computer for long periods of time is required

  • Ability to work with and navigate through multiple computer screens

Job Summary

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

In CA: Typical hiring range is $54,586 to $61,637 

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Representatives: Serve as a direct resource for Sales Reps, handling new business inquiries, completing applications, and providing coverage when Reps are unavailable.
  • Guide Clients Through the Purchase Process: Build rapport with prospective customers, gather the information needed to move their application forward, and deliver a smooth, professional buying experience.
  • Quote New Business: Run accurate insurance quotes across multiple carriers for new customers, clearly presenting coverage options and helping clients understand the products that best fit their needs.
  • Complete Applications: Prepare, submit, and follow up on new policy applications, ensuring all required documentation and information are collected accurately and on time.
  • Educate and Advise: Explain coverage options, discounts, and policy features to help clients make informed decisions — with a focus on finding the right fit, not just the fastest close.
  • Meet Performance Goals: Consistently achieve KPI benchmarks, including % of Binds and Contacts Handled, in line with company expectations.
  • Stay Queue-Ready: Maintain availability and manage phone states appropriately to ensure clients and Sales Reps receive prompt, professional support throughout the day.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with multiple insurance carriers and state insurance regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, and maintain exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to empathize with customers.
  • Solid computer and typing skills, with proficiency in navigating a Windows environment.

Job Duties

  • Provides one-stop service for Geisinger patients by providing in-depth knowledge as well as being an advocate for any issues or concerns related to processes and functions.
  • Performs all accounts receivable functions including, but not limited to the collection of cash, resolution of accounts, application of discounts, setup and management of monthly installment plans, communication of and assistance with financial assistance programs.
